Cotton Trust protocol Annual Report microsite

For the 3rd consecutive year, I’ve led the design for Cotton Trust Protocol’s digital annual report. The main deliverable of the project was a microsite with the goal of creating a more engaging way for the audience to interact with the content than a typical digital pdf report.

From the initial concept of data-driven visuals alongside editorial imagery and layouts, the end result brought in the brand’s identity through use of branded colors, typography, and design elements to create cohesion between the site and the supplementary pdf report–which my colleagues and I collaborated on.

Working within the confines of the website’s software, I was mindful of responsiveness for mobile design. While the software limited the design to some extent, I was still able to bring in animations and interactive data charts & graphs though the data visualization program, “Flourish".

Year over year, the team and I have a more refined process: The content writers continue to hone their web-savvy writing style for short-form content, we’re more adept at plug-ins and other tools to bring in more animations and video content to the changing landscape of storytelling, and trust continues to build between account, design, and client as we continue to deliver better and better quality work.
