Black and white newspaper ads promoting the “Where We Shop” section of The Philadelphia Inquirer. Given the strict parameters of the ad size (2" x 21"), I created a striking visual that would contrast against the copy-heavy page. The section itself is about supporting local businesses specific to fashion boutiques and accessories. By using fashion accessories as a visual, I am able to immediately hint to the reader what the section is about.

Script type mimicking hand-type is used to symbolize the hand-craft of local merchants, unique to a boutique feel.
